What is Karahi Gosht?

1 kg beef, cut into pieces
3-4 medium tomatoes, diced
2 onions, chopped
1 tablespoon ginger garlic powder
3-4 green chillies, chopped tops

1 tablespoon best cumin seeds
2 teaspoons of the best coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala of choice
1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Salt as per taste
Half a cup of oil
Fresh coriander for garnish
How to make Karahi Gosht
- Stage1: Heat the Oil
- First, put oil in a pan and heat it on low flame۔
- Add cumin powder to it and let it crackle well on low flame.
- Stage 2: Sauté the Onions
- Now Add finely chopped onion to it and cook till the onion turns light brown.
- Now add garlic and ginger and saute till their raw smell goes away.
- Stage3: Cook the Meat
- Add the meat to the fried onions and cook well on high heat until the meat leaves water.
- While frying, add salt, red pepper, and black pepper.
- Stage 4: Add Tomatoes and Spices
- When the meat leaves the water, add the chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are cooked well.
- Add hot spices and coriander powder and fry lightly.
- Stage 5: Let it Simmer
- Add chopped green chillies to the meat and add little water and keep it for 30 to 35 minutes until the meat is well cooked.
- Stage 6: Garnish and Serve
- Garnish with coriander powder and serve with warm roti or naan.

- Use Fresh Ingredients: Each of the fresh ginger, garlic, and tomatoes gives the best taste to your curry as compared to the dried type.
- Slow Cook for Tender Meat: If you want to have mouth-watering meat, do not be in a hurry. You have to allow the meat to stay longer there in order to become tender and to imbibe all the spices you put there.
- Customize the Heat: Depending on what kind of heat you prefer, you may use more or less green chilies in the Karahi Gosht.
